Focusrite

The Focusrite brand was established way back in 1985 and the founding principles of the company were to develop products that sounded more musical, in addition to just measuring well - today,we still carry these founding principles forward in our class-leading and award-winning designs.

We measure our success by the success of you, our clients, and you will find Focusrite products prominent in professional and project studios throughout the world.

Based just outside of London, we work with the best design talent throughout the world to bring you the tools to enhance the way you work. Our product is made with pride and principle in a highly automated ISO 9002 factory with significant level of test by engineers who themselves are musicians and understand the part our product plays in your process. What is an audio Interface? When you’re are are ready to upgrade your tools for recording but don’t really know what to get, you might want to look into an audio interface. An audio interface is a rather small piece of hardware that when attached to your computer, will improve and expand the sonic capabilities. Many audio interfaces allow you to be able to connect the most professional headphones and instruments and many kinds of signals to your computer that you could never have done before. For most of its lengthy history, Focusrite has been most responsible for some of the industries top classic and respected microphone preamps, which was featured in both the Red and ISA ranges. We should now look at the company’s newest Claret product lineup: mic press and interfaces. Not everyone is familiar with “Claret,” which is a shade of red combined with a dark ruby tinge, sometimes used as describing fine wines. Along with the USB-based Scarlett range, the addition of a letter gives the line a more distinctive name that is much easier to find when searching for on the internet, while at the same time being easier to remember. Every unit in the Clarett line is kept inside a deep red anodized aluminum enclosure, but the actual story isn't about how great it looks, it's about how great everything works on the inside of the casing. The newest introduced feature added to the Clarett range is its use of the Thunderbolt, the latest most innovative connection technology for computer peripherals. Do the Clarett Interfaces work with all computers? Currently, the Clarett interfaces are only compatible with working with Mac OS X 10.9 and above, but Focusrite is trying hard to make it compatible with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 and should have beta drivers available before too long. Using Thunderbolt for multi-track audio has its advantages, one can be summed up in one word: latency. The speedier your connection is and the higher your bandwidth, then the lower your latency. Focusrite claims for their Clarett interfaces a round trip latency consists of 1.38 milliseconds. Another big change and innovation in the Clarett series are its preamps, which were completely redesigned. Focusrite would use the words clean, open and transparent to describe the sound, it is just so crisp. Overall I concur with their thoughts and ideas. The preamps in the Clarett have a solid, well-defined lower midsection weight and the most smooth rounding on top. This design gives them more of a clean, transformerless much more modern desk-like vibe that stacks well and offers excellent integrity to a mix. Please note that this top-end rounding is extremely subtle; I only point this out to differentiate the Clarett preamps included in much of the clinical straight wire interface preamps in today's market. The Clarett preamps offer another feature as well, that is designed to convey some of the feel and sounds of the company's more standard ISA and Red models. Focusrite describes this feature as Air, and while it does convey a feathery, harmonic openness, and even a hint of air to the sound. It's not simply a noise circuit or EQ being switched on; it isn't a software model neither. Air is an analog process which models the input transformer and impedance resonances found in the originals. Furthermore to the Sonics, one of the main reasons for keeping this an analog circuit design is that the company didn't want additional software process to add latency coming in. What could you get now? Four models are in the range currently at this time. The two larger models are out now, but soon the smaller models will be added. Each unit comes equipped with more S/PDIF I/O and ADAT as well, leading to the (input x output) totals. Each model's number refers to the microphone preamp that's available. They are the Clarett 8Pre (26 x 28), Clarett 8Pre (18 x 20), Clarett 4Pre (18 x 8), and the Clarett 2Pre (10 x 4). Clarett 8Pre is one of the most straight ahead interfaces that you could use as for functioning. Most of the modern day units use multifunction dials, encoders, and buttons, the 8Pre can be described on its function by its looks, It uses very high-quality parts, and just the design is very professional. The Clarett packages’ software used is Focusrite Control. Using this software allows you to control a very few internal accessible functions that the Clarett models have, including turning Air off and on. Another nice feature is an easy-to-use mixer that's scalable to what you need, allowing you to create sub-mixes for the each of the stereo or even mono output groups and each of the headphone outputs. Now that you have the information you need, it should be much easier to know what tool you must equip to help out with your recording business. • Focusrite + Computer Audio Interface (800 words) • Focusrite Clarett 2Pre 10-In/4-Out Thunderbolt Interface with 2 Clarett Mic Pres • Focusrite Clarett 2Pre Focusrite 10-In/4-Out USED Thunderbolt Interface 2 Clarett Mic Pres • Focusrite Clarett 8Pre 18-In/20-Out Thunderbolt Audio Interface • Focusrite OctoPre MKII Dynamic Octo Pre 8 Channel Mic Preamp - Used • Focusrite OctoPre MkII 8 Channel Microphone Preamplifier- REFURBISHED • Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 (B1) 20 in / 20 out Firewire interface- REFURBISHED • Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 20 in / 20 out Thunderbolt interface- REFURBISHED • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 B1 Gen 1 USB Audio Interface- REFURBISHED • Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 2nd Gen USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (2nd Gen) w/ ProTools | First & Ableton Live Lite B1 Refurbished • Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (2nd Gen) w/ ProTools | First & Ableton Live Lite B2 Refurbished • Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Generation 24/192khz 18 in / 18 out USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Generation 18 in 18 out USB Audio Interface REFURBISHED B1 • Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Generation 24/192khz 18 in / 18 out USB Audio Interface REFURBISHED B2 • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 G2 MKii 24/192 2 in/2 out USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 G2 MKii 24/192 2 in/2 out USB Audio Interface USED • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 G2 MKii 24/192 2 in/2 out USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 G2 MKii 24/192 2 in/2 out USB Audio Interface - USED • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation 2 in / 4 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USED 2nd Generation 2 in / 4 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation 2 in / 4 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 2nd Generation 2 in / 4 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface USED B3 • Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 6 in / 6 out USB 2.0 audio interface • Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd Generation 6 in / 6 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd Generation 6 in / 6 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface - USED • Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd Generation 6 in / 6 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface - USED • Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd Generation 6 in / 6 out 24/192KHZ USB Audio Interface - USED • Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Generation 2 in / 2 out 24/192Khz USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett Solo USED 2nd Generation 2 in / 2 out 24/192Khz USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett Solo USED B2 2nd Generation 2 in / 2 out 24/192Khz USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett Solo USED B3 2nd Generation 2 in / 2 out 24/192Khz USB Audio Interface • Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio Package 2nd Gen - w/Protools Used B3 USED • Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio Package 2nd Gen - w/Protools Used B2 Refurbished • Focusrite Scarlett Solo Studio Pack 2nd Gen - w/Protools Used B2 Refurbished • Focusrite Scarlett Studio 2nd Gen Recording Bundle Pack w/ Pro Tools First - USED B1 • Focusrite Scarlett Studio 2nd Gen Recording Bundle Pack w/ Pro Tools First - USED • Focusrite Scarlett Studio 2nd Gen Recording Bundle Pack w/ Pro Tools First - USED B3 • Focusrite Scarlett Studio Gen 1 Home Recording Bundle with USB 2.0 - REFURBISHED • Focusrite Scarlett Studio Gen 1 Home (B2) Recording Bundle with USB 2.0 - REFURBISHED • Focusrite Scarlett Studio Home (B3) Gen 1 Recording Bundle with USB 2.0 - REFURBISHED
